Camera Selection Wizard

Digital Camera resource page - Camera Database with 'search by features' function
It's pretty straightforward as to it's use. Their camera database linked above shows an orange box with an R for any camera they've done a review on. They also have an alphabetical list by manufacturer on a separate page.

Yet another site for in-depth reviews.

They also offer camera reviews. I find this page helpful when I want to easily compare particular features of 2 or 3 cameras side by side.
Each of the above sites have particular strengths & some may like the approach of one over the other. They all offer a wealth of information & opinions. Have fun browsing & good luck selecting just the right camera for your needs.

Eastman Kodak

Kodak's origins rest with Eastman Dry Plate Company, and the General Aristo Company, founded by inventor George Eastman and businessman Henry Strong in Rochester, and Jamestown New York. The General Aristo Company was formed in 1899 in Jamestown New York, with George Eastman as treasurer, and this company purchased the stock of American Aristotype Company. Eventually, the business in Jamestown was moved in its entirety to Rochester, and the plants in Jamestown were razed. The Eastman Dry Plate Company was responsible for the first cameras suitable for nonexpert use. The Kodak company attained its name from the first simple roll film cameras produced by Eastman Dry Plate Company, known as the "Kodak" in its product line. The cameras proved such an enormous success that the word Kodak was incorporated into the company name. George Eastman registered the trademark Kodak on September 4, 1888. The Eastman Kodak Company was founded in 1892.[2] The company is incorporated in New Jersey but has its offices in Rochester, New York.[3] George Eastman, Kodak's founder, coined the advertising slogan, "You press the button, we do the rest."[4] In 1901 the Eastman Kodak Company acquired the stock of General Aristo Company.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 Review

The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 is the successor to the popular, one-year-old FZ18 camera. The defining feature of the Panasonic FZ28 is still its massive 18x zoom lens, now equivalent to a slightly wider-angle 27-486mm focal length. The FZ28 is a bridge-style compact camera, looking just like a true DSLR at first glance, but featuring a non-interchangeable lens instead. The Panasonic DMC-FZ28 offers an increase to 10 megapixels, larger 2.7-inch LCD screen, new Venus Engine IV processing engine which promises better low-light performance, and updated iA (intelligent auto) mode with newly added AF Tracking function. The FX28 can also shoot high-definition 1280 x 720p video at 30fps, making it a viable alternative to a dedicated video camcorder, and it retains the optical image stabiliser, face detection, RAW mode and ISO 1600 at full image resolution from its predecessor.
